Little Thimble measurements are usually taken with the piece laid flat on a level surface, and (depending on the piece) will usually include:

» Pit-to-pit: The measurement from one armpit to the other

» Bust: The measurement of the highest point and fullest part of your bust around your back (usually located just slightly below the pit-to-pit measurement)

» Waist: The measurement around the natural waist (refer to where your belly button is, or bend to one side and see where your body naturally creases.)

» Hips: The measurement around the fullest point around your legs and buttox.

» Length: This measurement will be included in various ways depending on the type of piece. It will always be clear where the starting and ending points of the measurement are in that particular description.

» Rise (for pants): The measurement from the front crotch seam to the top of the pants (waist)

» Inseam (for pants): The measurement from the crotch seam to the bottom of the pant leg
